Infrastructure Master Plan
The City of Ottawa is seeking resident and stakeholder feedback on the preliminary policies and program recommendations of the Infrastructure Master Plan (IMP).

The IMP is a strategic document that sets growth-related goals, objectives, and priorities for municipal infrastructure related to water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater management, supporting the City’s New Official Plan project.

The draft preliminary policies and program recommendations include detailed infrastructure-related policies that support the New Official Plan and provide clarification on City expectations related to infrastructure planning, approvals, and implementation. It also includes new program recommendations to support intensification.

Feedback from residents and stakeholders is important to the City of Ottawa and will be considered as the City prepares the draft final IMP for consideration by City Council. If you have any comments or feedback on the document, please fill out the feedback form by Friday, July 22.

For more information on the IMP, please visit the Engage Ottawa webpage.

Transportation Master Plan Update
Transportation decisions affect all of Ottawa’s residents and businesses. No matter if you walk, drive, cycle, bus, take the light rail transit or scoot, whether you ship products or have them delivered, or whether you own or share a car, how people and goods move through the city affects you.
We are currently in Phase 3.
The deadline for input has been extended to the end of March, 2022, though we encourage you to provide feedback as soon as you can.

Residents are also invited to take part in an Open House on March 29th at 6:30 p.m.

Active Transportation Candidate Project - Click on Engage tab in TMP Phase 3 page

Ottawa residents were surveyed in fall 2020 to identify active transportation missing links as part of the Transportation Master Plan update process. The City also conducted a network review through a policy lens and consulted with Councillors on their priorities. Now we are asking for your opinion on the candidate walking and cycling projects that are being proposed

Solid Waste Master Plan

Managing solid waste is a shared responsibility, and every resident has a part to play. That’s why, over the next two years, we need meaningful conversations with you to help ensure the new Solid Waste Master Plan works for everyone.

Climate Resiliency Strategy
Climate change will impact us all in our daily lives. Heatwaves will increase heat related illnesses, shifting freeze-thaw cycles will cause more damage to roads and more intense rainfall will increase the risk of flooding.

To develop a strategy that meets the needs of everyone in Ottawa we need your input on:

  • How climate change is affecting you and your community
  • The future impacts of climate change you are most concerned about
  • How we can best prepare Ottawa to be resilient to the impacts
  • What you are doing to adapt to current and future climate change
